Fashion’s Forgotten Future

We were promised hologram gowns to cover up our sweatpants! Well, that was the future the truly outrageous Jem and the Holograms cartoon of the 1980s told us, anyway, with the AI supercomputer Synergy providing Jerrica Benton with the ability to use her earrings and project her alternate rockstar persona, Jem.

It turns out that futuristic fashion goes further back than Jem and, for that matter, the 1960s cartoon…
